Mandalas are abstract designs that start with a central point and emanate outwards in a series of detailed shapes and patterns. Often the design of your mandala can symbolize your current journey through life, and reading your mandala can give you a clue to your inner self. There is no right or wrong way to make one, only your way.
Among other things, creating mandalas helps calm your mind, quiet your emotions, it stimulates your creative thinking and problem solving abilities, and helps you overcome blocks and stuck patterns in your daily life. Then after creating your mandala, coloring them in is a great way to de-stress from the daily grind and put you in a state of creative flow.
Terri has recently chosen mandala making as her go to wind down activity, especially since all the necessary mandala making tools can be contained in a small box, making it easy to transport and bring anywhere!
